Entwickelt wurde er f\u00fcr die Gruppe B, war hier aber ein Sp\u00e4tstarter und der Erfolg blieb aus. Im Vergleich zum Wettbewerb lag er immer mindestens einen Schritt zur\u00fcck. W\u00e4hrend die Konkurrenz mit Spaceframe-Chassis und Verbundwerkstoffen re\u00fcssierte, basierte der BX 4TC auf der tragenden Karosserie der Serienmodelle. Auch die hydropneumatische Aufh\u00e4ngung wurde beibehalten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Der Motor hingegen war um 90 Grad gedreht, um ihn l\u00e4ngs auszurichten und der vordere \u00dcberhang wurde verl\u00e4ngert, um Platz f\u00fcr den Motor zu schaffen. Auch der Motor schw\u00e4chelte trotz Turboaufladung und leistete nur 380 PS. Zudem schleppte der Wagen gegen\u00fcber dem im Reglement festgelegten Mindestgewicht zus\u00e4tzliche 190 Kilogramm \u00fcber die Pisten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mit der Zuverl\u00e4ssigkeit des BX war es gleichfalls nicht weit her. Von den drei Rallyes, an denen er teilnahm, war ein sechster Platz in Schweden sein bestes Ergebnis \u2013 und seine einzige Platzierung.
