Der Firmensitz war in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, England. Schon 1957 begann Boadley die Entwicklung eines Stra\u00dfensportwagen und 1963 war es dann soweit: auf der Londoner Racing Car Show im Olympia stand der Lola Mk 6 GT. Der Wagen war f\u00fcr die GT-Kategorie des Automobilsports entwickelt und sollte mit Ferrari 250 GTO, Shelby Cobra und Jaguar E-Type konkurrieren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Der Mk 6 GT verwendete einen 4,7-Liter-V8-Motor von Ford und ein manuelles F\u00fcnfgang-Getriebe. Die Hinterachse war mit einem De Dion-Achssystem ausgestattet, Scheibenbremsen und innenbel\u00fcfteten Scheiben an allen vier R\u00e4dern sorgten f\u00fcr gute Verz\u00f6gerung.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Das erste Rennen bestritt der Wagen im Mai 1963 in Silverstone. Der s\u00fcdafrikanische Formel-1-Pilot Tony Maggs, der nie zuvor in dem Wagen gesessen hatte, sprang in letzter Minute f\u00fcr John Surtees ein. Vom letzten Platz aus arbeitete er sich auf den neunten Rang vor, hinter einem Rudel von Cooper Monaco und Lotus 19 und 23. Eine Woche sp\u00e4ter startete der GT auf dem N\u00fcrburgring, wo er aber ausfiel.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Es wird vermutet, dass zwischen 31 bis 40 Einheiten gebaut wurden. Es geht die M\u00e4r, dass der&nbsp; Ford GT40 vom Lola Mk 6 GT abstammt, denn Broadley wurde vom Konzern aus Dearborn beauftragt, ein Konzeptfahrzeug entwerfen. Der Prototyp wurde jedoch abgelehnt, und Ford entschied sich stattdessen, einen eigenen Rennwagen zu entwickeln, wenngleich der Lola als Inspiration diente.
