Er basierte auf der Plattform der Dyane 6 und wurde deshalb als Dyane 6 M\u00e9hari bezeichnet. In nahezu 20 Jahren, von 1968 bis 1987, wurden 144.953 Exemplare gebaut, darunter 1.213 M\u00e9hari 4&#215;4. Der kleine Pickup wurde gr\u00f6\u00dftenteils  im belgischen Forest produziert, aber auch in sieben weiteren Werken in Frankreich, Spanien und Portugal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Von au\u00dfen scheint der M\u00e9hari nicht unbedingt f\u00fcr alle Jahreszeiten geeignet zu sein, denn er sieht eher wie ein Sommer- und Strand-Fahrzeug aus. Damit finden bis zu vier Personen Platz.&nbsp;Die Karosserie besteht aus nur elf leicht zu reparierenden Teilen und kann einfach sowohl innen als auch au\u00dfen gereinigt werden. Das Auto leicht zu warten und ist besonders kosteng\u00fcnstig.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Obwohl er fast 20 Jahre lang produziert wurde, gab es vom M\u00e9hari lediglich drei Versionen, darunter zwei limitierte Auflagen. Im Jahr 1983 wurden zwei Sondereditionen pr\u00e4sentiert. Zum einen der M\u00e9hari Plage in einer auff\u00e4lligen gelben Farbe, der in Spanien und Portugal verkauft wurde. So wurden zehn Exemplare 1980 bei der Rallye Paris-Dakar f\u00fcr medizinische Zwecke entlang der Strecke postiert.
