Basis der Boliden war meist der IKA Ford Torino mit F\u00fcnfliter-V8 der lndustrias Kaiser Argentina. Ford beauftragte den Designer und Ingenieur Heriberto Pronello mit der Konstruktion eines Autos, das in der neuen Serie antreten sollte. Oreste Berta, der sp\u00e4ter mit seinem eigenen Dreiliter-Prototyp aufwarten sollte, war f\u00fcr die Entwicklung zust\u00e4ndig.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So entstand der &#8222;Huayra&#8220;, was in der Sprache des Quechua-Stammes &#8222;Wind&#8220; bedeutet. Diese Konstruktion des im argentinischen Cordoba geborenen Ingenieurs 1965 ist wahrscheinlich einer der attraktivsten Rennwagen in der argentinischen Motorsportgeschichte.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die offiziellen Teamfahrer waren Carlos Pascualini und Carlos Alberto Reutemann. Diese \u00dcberdehnung der Kapazit\u00e4ten f\u00fchrte dazu, dass der Huayra aufgrund st\u00e4ndiger mechanischer Probleme nicht mehr gewinnen konnte, obwohl er die meiste Zeit in F\u00fchrung lag. Immer noch h\u00e4lt er den Rekord von neun aufeinanderfolgenden Qualifyings, bei denen beide Autos des Teams in der ersten Startreihe standen. Nur beim Stadtrennen in Parana, das als einzige Strecke gegen den Uhrzeigersinn gefahren wurde, verpasste man den Saisonrekord.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die Sport Prototipo-Serie konnte aufgrund der hohen Kosten f\u00fcr die damit verbundene technische Freiheit nur vier weitere Jahre \u00fcberleben. Ihre Rennwagen blieben den Fans im Land als die am weitesten entwickelte Serie aller Zeiten in Erinnerung, mit einzigartigen Designs und Konzepten, die damals auf dem gleichen kreativen und wettbewerbsf\u00e4higen Niveau wie die gr\u00f6\u00dften Hersteller in Europa wie Ferrari, Porsche, Lola usw. waren.
