Die Basis besteht aus einer abgeflachten, ovalen Form, die die R\u00e4der halb abdeckt und auf der ein sich tropfenf\u00f6rmig verj\u00fcngendes Cockpit sitzt. Typisch sind auch die beiden runden Heckleuchten, die die spitz zulaufenden Kotfl\u00fcgel-Enden anschlie\u00dfen. Die Technik stammt vom 1900 C, aufgewertet durch ein Aluminium-Kurbelgeh\u00e4use, einen besonders leichten Rohrrahmen sowie der aerodynamisch besonders effizienten Karosserie. In den Ergebnislisten taucht der \u201eDisco Volante\u201c selten auf. Der gr\u00f6\u00dfte Erfolg ist ein zweiter Platz bei der Mille Miglia im Jahr 1953. Das schm\u00e4lert den Ruhm des extremen und sch\u00f6nen Italieners aber in keiner Weise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zum sechzigsten Geburtstag des emblematischen Alfa zeigt die \u201eCarrozzeria Touring\u201c eine Neuinterpretation, die nicht so radikal wie das Original ist. Aber es ist magisches Retrodesign, das nostalgisch und gleichzeitig modern wirkt. Elegant werden typische Elemente des Vorbilds wie die Chromleiste oberhalb des Radlaufs, der gerade abgeschnittene vordere Radausschnitt, das zur\u00fcckgesetzte Cockpit und die runden Heckleuchten arrangiert. Mit Versatzst\u00fccken modernen Sportwagendesigns wie etwa subtil gearbeitetem Frontspoiler, dem geradlinigen Heckdiffusor und der raffinierten Grafik der Lampen entsteht eine Form, die die Uniformit\u00e4t moderner \u201eSupersportwagen\u201c \u00e0 la McLaren oder Koeniggsegg banal aussehen l\u00e4sst. Ganz traditionell wird die bet\u00f6rend sch\u00f6ne Karosserie aus Alublechen geh\u00e4mmert und gleichzeitig mit modenem Carbon verfeinert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Technisch setzt Touring auf die Komponenten des nicht mehr gebauten Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione mit Maserati-4,7-Liter-V8 und 450 PS, der mit seinem leichten und steifen Chassis zur Philosophie des \u201eSuperleggera\u201c passt. Zwecks agilem Fahrverhalten betr\u00e4gt die Gewichtsverteilung zwischen Vorder- und Hinterachse 49 zu 51 Prozent: Der Motor ist weit zur\u00fcck eingebaut, das Getriebe befindet sich an der angetriebenen Hinterachse.
