Der Entwurf wurde vom Designstudio Toyota ED2 (ED Square) in Nizza entwickelt. Sein robustes und widerstandsf\u00e4higes \u00c4u\u00dferes orientiert sich am legend\u00e4ren Land Cruiser J40, der von 1960 bis 1984 gebaut wurde. Er war aufgrund seiner robusten Qualit\u00e4ten weltweit beliebt und ist vielfach bis heute im Einsatz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Das Markenzeichen des J40 waren die ikonische Form, zusammengef\u00fcgt aus einfachen, robusten Karosserieteilen. In diese Fu\u00dfstapfen will der robuste und kompakte Elektro-Offroader treten. Das Konzept des Compact Cruiser EV nimmt Ma\u00df am Vorbild, indem die Front das klassische Bild des Vorl\u00e4ufers aufgreift, dazu kommt ein \u00e4hnliches kastenf\u00f6rmiges Design sowie robuste Sto\u00dfstangen und Karosserieelemente. Zeitgen\u00f6ssische Form-Finesse steuert LED-Licht sowie eine ausgepr\u00e4gte Grafik der Skulptur bei, damit der Kleine auch auf dem Boulevard eine gute Figur abgibt, weil man davon ausgehen kann, dass Eins\u00e4tze im Gel\u00e4nde eher eine Seltenheit sein werden. Auf der Dachreling mit dem angedeuteten Lleiterelement finden Freizeitger\u00e4te wie etwa Surf- oder Skiboards Platz.
