Der Stratos HF wurde bei der italienischen Carozzeria zwecks Homologation f\u00fcr die Gruppe&nbsp;4 der FIA&nbsp;in einer Kleinserie produziert. Es wurden etwas \u00fcber 400&nbsp;Exemplare gebaut. Die zivilen Versionen trugen den Namenszusatz \u201eStradale\u201c.<br>\u2028<br>Gro\u00dfen Anteil an der Entstehung des Stratos hatten der damalige Lancia-Sportchef Cesare Fiorio und Rallye-Werksfahrer Sandro Munari und auch der englische Ex-Ferrari-Pilot und -Ingenieur Mike Parkes trug seine Expertise bei. Wie alle Sportmodelle der italienischen Marke seit 1971 f\u00fchrte der Stratos das K\u00fcrzel HF. Das hatte Lancia von der 1963 gegr\u00fcndeten HF Squadra Corse, einem Club von Lancia-Rennfahrern \u00fcbernommen.<br>\u2028<br>Der Lancia Stratos gilt als erstes Fahrzeug in der Historie des Rallyesports, das nur zu dem Zweck konstruiert wurde, Rallyes zu gewinnen. Alles ist auf den Sport fokussiert: die keilf\u00f6rmige Karosserie mit den breit ausgestellten Kotfl\u00fcgeln und der gro\u00dfen Windschutzscheibe, die komplett aufklappbare Front- und Heckpartie sowie der hinter dem Cockpit positionierte Motor, der vom V6-Triebwerk des Ferrari 246 Dino abstammt. Sandro Munari&nbsp; gewann mit seinem Beifahrer Mario Mannucci die Tour de France Automobile 1973, die damals mit \u00fcber 1.500 Kilometern Wertungspr\u00fcfungen auf Rundstrecken und Bergpisten sowie langen Transfer-Etappen durch ganz Frankreich eine der anspruchsvollsten Asphaltrallyes Europas war.<br>\u2028<br>Danach setzte das Lancia-Werksteam den Stratos in der Rallye-Weltmeisterschaft ein, wo er in den Jahren 1974 bis 1976 drei Titel in Folge gewinnen konnte. Ab der Saison 1975 traten die vom Werksteam eingesetzten Fahrzeuge in den Farben der Luftlinie Alitalia an.
