Seit den Anf\u00e4ngen des organisierten Rennsports vor 130 Jahren, dem Paris-Rouen-Trial von 1894, ging das Streben nach Geschwindigkeit Hand in Hand mit der Entwicklung von Motoren, Antrieben und Leistung. Das Festival of Speed 2024 wird die vielen Fortschritte feiern, die uns dorthin gebracht haben, wo wir heute stehen, und einen Blick darauf werfen, welche neuen Ideen uns in Zukunft antreiben k\u00f6nnten. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Auf der Meldeliste f\u00fcr das Rennen Paris-Rouen vom 22. Juli 1894 standen Fahrzeuge, die von Dampf, Benzin und Elektrizit\u00e4t bis hin zu Schwerkraft, Druckluft und Hydraulik angetrieben wurden Das spiegelt die Tatsache wider, dass es in den Anfangsjahren der \u201epferdelosen Kutsche\u201c keinen Konsens \u00fcber die beste Antriebsquelle gab. Nach einem Jahrhundert, in dem der Verbrennungsmotor dominierte, befinden wir uns nun wieder an einem Scheideweg: Elektro-, Wasserstoff- und Hybridantriebe sowie nachhaltige Kraftstoffe bieten allesamt potenzielle L\u00f6sungen f\u00fcr eine umweltfreundlichere Zukunft. \u201eHorseless to Hybrid\u201c erinnert nicht nur daran, wie weit die Automobil- und Rennsportindustrie in den letzten 130 Jahren gekommen ist, sondern wirft auch einen Blick auf die Zukunft. Das Thema wird sich in der gesamten Veranstaltung widerspiegeln, von den Autos und Fahrern, die auf dem Goodwood-H\u00fcgel starten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Neben diesem zentralen Thema wird das Festival 2024 eine Reihe weiterere bedeutende Jahrestage begehen. Die Erinnerung gilt Niki Lauda im Jahr, in dem er seinen 75. Geburtstag gefeiert h\u00e4tte, sowie an 50 Jahre seit seinem ersten Grand-Prix-Sieg und 40 Jahre seit der letzten seiner drei Weltmeisterschaften. Das Shadow-Team hat vor 50 Jahren die Can-Am-Meisterschaft gewonnen und Joest Racing vor 40 Jahre den ersten Le-Mans-Sieg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Das Festival of Speed findet vom Donnerstag den 11. Juli bis Sonntag, den 14. Juli statt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
