M\u00e4rz ist die Er\u00f6ffnung von \u201eDream Cars From the Joe Bortz Collection\u201c. Die Ausstellung zeigt sechs Konzeptautos, die urspr\u00fcnglich auf den GM Motorama-Messen 1953, 54 und 55 gezeigt wurden, zum ersten Mal unter einem Dach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die Ausstellung in der Audrey and Martin Gruss Foundation Gallery wird die Geschichte der Motorama-Wanderausstellungen von General Motors beleuchten. Der legend\u00e4re GM-Stylist Harley Earl nutzte die Shows, um experimentelle, nicht serienm\u00e4\u00dfige Autos zu pr\u00e4sentieren, die Design- und Technologiekonzepte aufwiesen, von denen einige ihren Weg in die Serienfahrzeuge fanden. Einige Modelle, wie die Corvette, gingen sogar in Serie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"810\" height=\"636\" src=\"https:\/\/www.enzo-und-ferdinand.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Scan260-810x636.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15888\" style=\"width:880px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.enzo-und-ferdinand.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Scan260-810x636.jpg 810w, https:\/\/www.enzo-und-ferdinand.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Scan260-300x236.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.enzo-und-ferdinand.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Scan260-768x603.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.enzo-und-ferdinand.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Scan260.jpg 1000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 810px) 100vw, 810px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sechs Autos werden in der Ausstellung zu sehen sein, darunter drei, die bei Warhoops Auto and Truck Parts in Sterling Heights, Michigan, vor der Zerst\u00f6rung gerettet wurden. Nach ihrer Zeit im Rampenlicht wurden die meisten \u201eDream Cars\u201c auf Schrottpl\u00e4tze geschickt, wo sie zerlegt und verwertet wurden. Unter den erhaltenen Fahrzeugen befanden sich vier, die von Warhoops-Mitarbeitern gerettet und zwischen dem anderen Schrott versteckt wurden. Nachdem er Mitte der 1980er Jahre Ger\u00fcchte \u00fcber die geretteten \u201eDream Cars\u201c geh\u00f6rt hatte, kaufte der Sammler Joe Bortz die vier Fahrzeuge vom Schrottplatz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die Museumsbesucher sehen den 1955 LaSalle II Roadster und den 1955 Chevrolet Biscayne, die Bortz in m\u00fchevoller Kleinarbeit restauriert hat, nachdem beide in zwei H\u00e4lften geteilt wurden, um sie f\u00fcr die Schrottpresse vorzubereiten, sowie einen 1955 LaSalle Sedan im \u201eschrottplatzfrischen\u201c Zustand.
