Das \u00fcber sechs Meter lange Batmobile basiert auf der Plattform eines 1967 in London gefundenen Chevrolet Impala. Diese amerikanische Mittelklasse-Limousine ist vom Konzept her das genaue Gegenteil von Bruce Waynes Dienstwagen, der technisch auf h\u00f6chste f\u00fcr den Kampf in der dystopischen Megacity ger\u00fcstet ist und von einer Turbine angetrieben wird. Die Limousine mit der V-f\u00f6rmigen Nase und dem H\u00fcftknick \u00fcber den hinteren Radausschnitten ist dagegen in den Suburbs zuhause. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Angetrieben wir das Fl\u00fcgelmonster von einem knapp 5,4-Liter gro\u00dfen V8. F\u00fcr eine glaubw\u00fcrdige Optik der Kampfmaschine sorgen der Fronteinlass in der Motorhaube, der mit Triebwerkskomponenten von Rolls-Royce gestaltet wurden sowie Turbinenschaufeln im Bug, die dem britischen Harrier-Kampfjet entliehen wurden. Im Innenraum  dominiert amerikanisches Stilempfinden der sp\u00e4ten 1960er, garniert mit einem opulenten Armaturenpaneel und den Kn\u00f6pfen und Leuchten der Waffenbedienung auf den Metallplatten des Mitteltunnels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Insgesamt wurden, mit Genehmigung des Filmstudios, f\u00fcnf Fahrzeuge f\u00fcr Werbezwecke gefertigt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
