Das Triebwerk basiert auf dem Sechsliter-V12-Motor mit der Bezeichnung M120 aus dem Regal von Daimler-Benz. Das modifizierte Triebwerks, bei dem neben den vier Turbos auch neue Kolben, Zylinderk\u00f6pfe, Nockenwellen und Kr\u00fcmmer zum Einsatz kommen, leistet 862 PS, und entwickelt ein Drehmoment 1155 Nm.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die Leistung wird \u00fcber ein Siebengang-Getriebe auf die Hinterachse \u00fcbertragen. Die Leistungsdaten sind auch heute noch beeindruckend: der ME Four-Twelve sprintet in drei Sekunden auf hundert und ist bis 400 Stundenkilometer schnell. Neben einer ausgefeilten Aerodynamik und der optimalen K\u00fchlung des Triebwerks ist besonders das Chassis in einer Wabenkonstruktion aus Carbon und Aluminium bemerkenswert: das Leergewicht betr\u00e4gt 1310 kg. Als Aufh\u00e4ngung dienen vorne und hinten doppelte Querlenkern mit Schubstangen, also reinbl\u00fctige Rennsporttechnik.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bei Chrysler entstanden zwei Prototypen: Der erste war Ende 2003 fertig und wurde intensiver Tests unterzogen, der zweite diente als Showcar und wurde auf der North American International Auto Show 2004 vorgestellt.
