Als st\u00e4rkster Durango beschleunigt er in nur 3,5 Sekunden von 0 auf 100 km\/h und legt die von der National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) zertifizierte Viertelmeile in 11,5 Sekunden zur\u00fcck. Die H\u00f6chstgeschwindigkeit liegt knapp unter der 290 km\/h-Marke. Dieses Leistungslevel erfordert hochentwickelte Technik. So gibt es einen speziellen K\u00fchlkreislauf f\u00fcr die in das Kompressorgeh\u00e4use integrierten Ladeluftk\u00fchler und einem W\u00e4rmetauscher, der daf\u00fcr sorgt, dass die in den Motor str\u00f6mende Luft k\u00fchler als 140 Grad Celsius bleibt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die Doppelschraubenrotoren des Kompressors liegen eng beieinander, um Luftverlust zu minimieren und maximale Leistung zu gew\u00e4hrleisten. Ein integriertes elektronisches Bypass-Ventil regelt den Ladedruck auf maximal 80 kPa (11,6 psi), der 2,38-Liter-Kompressor hat ein \u00dcbersetzungsverh\u00e4ltnis von 2,36:1 und entwickelt eine maximale Drehzahl von 14.600 U\/min. Der Motorblock besteht aus Gusseisen und hat Wasserm\u00e4ntel zwischen den Zylindern f\u00fcr eine optimale K\u00fchlung. Die Kurbelwelle besteht aus Schmiedestahl mit induktionsgeh\u00e4rteten Lagerfl\u00e4chen und ist mit speziell abgestimmten Kurbelwellend\u00e4mpfer versehen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Der Motor weist zudem hochfeste, geschmiedete und legierte Kolben auf, dazu kommen geschmiedete Pleuelstangen mit hochbelastbaren Buchsen sowie karbonbeschichteten Kolbenbolzen und \u00d6ld\u00fcsen, die die Kolben k\u00fchlen. Die w\u00e4rmebehandelten Zylinderk\u00f6pfe bestehen aus einer Aluminiumlegierung, die Auslassventile sind natriumgek\u00fchlt, w\u00e4hrend die Einlassventile und Zylinderk\u00f6pfe aus einer Stahllegierung bestehen, die Temperaturen von bis zu 900 Grad Celsius standh\u00e4lt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eine Hutze in der unteren Frontsch\u00fcrze versorgt den Kompressor udes Hellcat-Motors mit Frischluft und eine speziell abgestimmte Auspuffanlage ist so abgestimmt, dass sie einen kernigen Sound liefert.
