Inspiriert vom Erfolg der \u201ePony Cars\u201c in den Vereinigten Staaten, bringen zusehends auch europ\u00e4ische Hersteller Zweit\u00fcrer mit dynamischem Look auf den Markt. Das Rezept hierf\u00fcr ist seit Renault Floride und Caravelle bekannt: Man nehme eine bew\u00e4hrte Gro\u00dfserienbasis und st\u00fclpe eine sportlich gezeichnete Karosserie dar\u00fcber. Der wachsende Markt veranlasst Renault, mit einem eigenen Coup\u00e9 aufzuwarten, zumal nach dem Auslaufen der Caravelle eine L\u00fccke im Produktportfolio klafft. Der R 15 verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber eine schn\u00f6rkellose Seitenpartie und gro\u00dfe Fensterfl\u00e4chen. Der R\u00a017 bezieht sein Flair aus einer m\u00e4chtigen C-S\u00e4ule, in die ein von markanten Lamellen bedecktes Fenster eingearbeitet ist. Die B-S\u00e4ule fehlt v\u00f6llig, und die hinteren Seitenscheiben lassen sich im Stil klassischer Hardtop-Coup\u00e9s vollst\u00e4ndig versenken. Zus\u00e4tzlich signalisieren beim R 17 Doppelscheinwerfer den sportlichen Anspruch. Vom R4 und R16 \u00fcbernimmt das avantgardistische Duo das praktische Schr\u00e4gheck mit gro\u00dfer Klappe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Einzigartig sind hingegen die Sto\u00dff\u00e4nger in Form eines gummibewehrten Metallrings, der K\u00fchlergrill und Scheinwerfer komplett einrahmt. Ein Designhighlight der besonderen Art ist ferner der Instrumententr\u00e4ger mit vier Rundinstrumenten unter eisbechergro\u00dfen Blenden. Die stilistische Einzigartigkeit komplettieren mit der Modellpflege 1976 die futuristischen Vordersitze der Alpine A 310.
