Initiator war Gian Paolo Dallara aus Varano de\u2019 Melegari in Italien, ein renommierter Rennwagenkonstrukteur, der seit der Gr\u00fcndung seines Unternehmens im Jahr 1972 Chassis f\u00fcr zahlreiche Rennsportklassen wie etwa die Formel 3, IndyCar Series, GP3-Serie, Formel V8 3.5 und der Formel E entwickelt hat. Der Motor ist ein Vierzylinder mit 16 Ventilen, 192 PS und 1289 cm\u00b3. Die Karosserie zeigte mit verbreiterten Kotfl\u00fcgeln und ausladendem Heckspoiler typisch zeitgen\u00f6ssisches Rennwagendesign.
