\u00dcblicherweise befasst sich der Custom Car Builder aus Spring Green in Wisconsin mit amerikanischen Klassikern \u2013 diesmal ist es aber ein Vintage-Brite, der neu in Kohlefaser gekleidet wird und auch sonst einige zeitgem\u00e4\u00dfe Aufwertungen erf\u00e4hrt. Das Restomod entstand nicht, wie der Name nahelegt, auf der Basis des popul\u00e4ren \u0160koda, sondern baut auf der Plattform eines Aston Martin DBS von 1971 auf, der eine vollst\u00e4ndig aus Kohlefaser gefertigte Karosserie sowie ein integrierter \u00dcberrollk\u00e4fig Steifigkeit und Pr\u00e4senz verleihen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Designer Gary Ragle gestaltete den Motorraum, das Kabinenlayout und zahlreiche ma\u00dfgeschneiderte Komponenten, die ausschlie\u00dflich f\u00fcr diesen Wagen gefertigt wurden. Sogar die Centerlock-R\u00e4der mit Zentralmutter sind eine Spezialanfertigung. Die Motorhaube erstreckt sich um die Seiten der Kotfl\u00fcgel herum, darunter befindet sich ein Ford F\u00fcnfliter-V8-Motor mit Kompressor, der 805 PS leistet. Zudem ist der Octavia mit einem Sechsgang-Schaltgetriebe ausgestattet. Die Ventildeckel tragen ein Aston-Martin-Emblem, das spielerisch zu \u201eAston Martini\u201c umgestaltet wurden, der Griff des \u00d6lmessstabs hat die Form eines Martini-Glases als Anspielung auf den ber\u00fchmtesten Aston-Martin-Fahrer der Filmgeschichte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die Karosserie ist in Glasurit Double-0 Silver lackiert und mit Details in Nuclear Olive Green akzentuiert. Aluminium sowie durch additive Fertigung hergestellte Edelstahlelemente und Carbonfaser-Eins\u00e4tze verleihen den Details maximale Pr\u00e4senz. Details wie die aus Messing gefertigten T\u00fcrgriffe und die vom Original \u00fcbernommenen Fensterheber unterstreichen die Wertigkeit des Gesamtbilds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Der Fahrer sitzt auf einem plissierten Ledersitz und sieht vor sich vor ein Armaturenbrett aus Carbonfaser mit 3D-gedruckten Edelstahlakzenten und wechselt die G\u00e4nge mit einem skulpturalen, durchsichtigen Schalthebel. Alles im Innenraum, mit Ausnahme der Lenks\u00e4ule, ist aus 3D-gedrucktem Edelstahl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
