Push-to-Pass erh\u00f6ht&nbsp;per Knopfdruck die Motorleistung mittels eines Kraftstoff-Massenstrom-Restriktors um bis zu 30 PS. Damit wird vor\u00fcbergehend unter Volllast mehr Treibstoff in die Brennr\u00e4ume der Vier-Zylinder-Turbomotors eingespritzt. Der M4 beschleunigt&nbsp;dann bis auf&nbsp; 300 Stundenkilometer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vier statt vormals acht Zylinder bedeuten aber keinen generellen Leistungsverlust \u2013 im Gegenteil. Der aufgeladene Zweiliter-Reihenmotor mit Direkteinspritzung ist deutlich st\u00e4rker als sein Vorg\u00e4nger. Auch beim vorgeschriebenen Leistungsgewicht hat sich einiges getan. Dieses liegt jetzt, reglementsbedingt, bei 981 Kilogramm. Das sind 50 Kilo weniger als in der Vorsaison und resultiert in einem Wert von 1,6 kg je PS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Das Reglement fordert f\u00fcr die neue Saison auch einige \u00c4nderungen an der Karosserie:&nbsp; Der Heckfl\u00fcgel etwa ist um 520 Millimeter breiter, der \u00dcberstand des Frontsplitters wurde um bis zu 90 Millimeter verringert und der Diffusor wurde um 30 Millimeter abgesenkt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mehr Sicherheit im Innenraum gibt es dank einer neuen Feuerwand, die das Cockpit direkt hinter dem Fahrer nach oben abschirmt. Dementsprechend gibt es nun keinen Innenspiegel mehr.
