Die Studie verband klassische Morgan-Formensprache mit moderner Elektromobilit\u00e4t und zeigte, wie emissionsfreier Sportwagenbau gedacht werden konnte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Als sich Morgan zur Pr\u00e4sentation des LifeCar entschloss, bedeutete dies einen klaren Bruch mit der eigenen Tradition. Formal lehnte sich das Konzeptfahrzeug an das Coup\u00e9 Aeromax an, technisch jedoch beschritt es vollkommen neues Terrain. Der Spaceframe des LifeCar war mit einem Brennstoffzellenantrieb kombiniert, der in Verbindung mit Elektromotoren sportwagentypische Fahrleistungen erm\u00f6glichen sollte. Das Zielgewicht lag bei lediglich 600 Kilogramm. Die elegant gezeichnete Karosserie, trotz ihrer klassischen Linienf\u00fchrung, wies messbare aerodynamische Qualit\u00e4ten auf. Der traditionelle Materialmix aus Aluminium und tragenden Holzstrukturen sorgte f\u00fcr eine hohe Verwindungssteifigkeit bei geringem Gewicht, w\u00e4hrend ein glattfl\u00e4chig verkleideter Unterboden den Luftwiderstand reduzierte. Charakteristisch blieb dennoch die klassische Morgan-K\u00fchlermaske, die sich selbstbewusst in den Fahrtwind reckte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Den Antrieb \u00fcbernahmen vier Radnabenmotoren, eine technisch wie historisch bemerkenswerte L\u00f6sung. Morgan verwies dabei bewusst auf den Lohner-Porsche vom Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts, dessen Radnabenmotoren als geistige Vorbilder galten. Statt CO\u2082 emittierte das LifeCar ausschlie\u00dflich Wasserdampf. Die angegebene Reichweite betrug rund 300 Kilometer, konkrete Leistungsdaten nannte der Hersteller nicht. Die Manufaktur aus Malvern Link betonte jedoch, dass es sich um einen vollwertigen Sportwagen mit entsprechender Fahrdynamik gehandelt habe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bei der Entwicklung des \u00fcber zwei Millionen Euro teuren Prototyps arbeitete Morgan eng mit der Universit\u00e4t Oxford und der deutschen Linde AG zusammen.
