Technische Basis war der Fiat 1400, jenes Modell, mit dem Fiat nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg einen konsequenten Neuanfang wagte. Der 1400 war das erste vollst\u00e4ndig neu konzipierte Nachkriegsfahrzeug der Marke und markierte zugleich den \u00dcbergang zur selbsttragenden Karosserie in Pontonform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Auf diesem modernen Fahrgestell entstand bei Carrozzeria Ghia eine extrem seltene Sonderkarosserie. Der Entwurf wird ma\u00dfgeblich Felice Mario Boano zugeschrieben, weshalb das Modell h\u00e4ufig als \u201eBoano Junior\u201c bezeichnet wird. Stilistisch verk\u00f6rpert das Coup\u00e9 die fr\u00fche Faszination f\u00fcr das Jet-Zeitalter. Flie\u00dfende Linien, eine betonte Heckpartie und dezente, an amerikanische Vorbilder angelehnte Designelemente pr\u00e4gen die Silhouette. Die selbsttragende Struktur erh\u00f6hte die Verwindungssteifigkeit gegen\u00fcber klassischen Rahmenkonstruktionen und erm\u00f6glichte eine moderne Pontonform ohne freistehende Kotfl\u00fcgel. Diese Bauweise reduzierte Gewicht, verbesserte Fahrstabilit\u00e4t und optimierte die Raumausnutzung. Damit stand das Coup\u00e9 nicht nur stilistisch, sondern auch konstruktiv f\u00fcr den Aufbruch der italienischen Automobilindustrie in die 1950er-Jahre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nur sehr wenige Exemplare des Fiat 1400 erhielten eine derart individuelle Sonderkarosserie. Das Fahrzeug dokumentiert, wie italienische Karossiers in den 1950er-Jahren amerikanische Stilimpulse interpretierten.
