Das stabile Fahrgestell bot eine Basis f\u00fcr die aufwendig gefertigte Coup\u00e9-Karosserie. Die Kombination aus amerikanischer Fahrwerkstechnik und italienischer Designphilosophie verlieh dem Fahrzeug eine au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnliche Pr\u00e4senz. Wenig sp\u00e4ter pr\u00e4sentierte Chrysler das DeSoto-Coup\u00e9 auch auf dem Turiner Autosalon. W\u00e4hrend die Resonanz zur damaligen Zeit unterschiedlich ausfiel, entwickelte sich der Adventurer II \u00fcber Jahrzehnte zu einem der bekanntesten Chrysler-Ghia-Concept-Cars. Heute gilt das Einzelst\u00fcck als wichtiges Beispiel f\u00fcr die experimentelle Fahrzeuggestaltung der Nachkriegszeit.
