Entwickelt wurde das Fahrzeug gemeinsam mit den Spieleentwicklern Infinity Ward und Activision. F\u00fcr die Designer er\u00f6ffnete das digitale Umfeld neue Freiheiten. Ohne die Einschr\u00e4nkungen realer Fahrzeugentwicklung entstand ein Hochleistungs-SUV, dessen Konstruktion vollst\u00e4ndig auf die physikalischen Gegebenheiten der Spielwelt abgestimmt wurde. Dennoch orientiert sich der Dreadnought konsequent an den bekannten Markenwerten von Aston Martin. Die Entwickler \u00fcbertragen die Eigenschaften eines leistungsstarken Performance-SUV in ein digitales Einsatzfahrzeug, das sowohl optisch als auch akustisch authentisch wirken soll.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Technisch kombiniert der Dreadnought mehrere Elemente, die im Spiel einen klaren taktischen Nutzen besitzen. Dazu geh\u00f6ren ein permanenter Allradantrieb, eine gro\u00df dimensionierte Kraftstoffreserve, adaptive Systeme f\u00fcr den Kampfeinsatz sowie umfangreiche Panzerung. Sichtbares Carbongewebe im Fischgr\u00e4tmuster, ein Innenraum mit Oxford-Tan-Leder, ein metallisch goldfarbener Schalthebel sowie zahlreiche fein ausgearbeitete Details stehen im Kontrast zur milit\u00e4rischen Funktionalit\u00e4t der Karosserie. Erg\u00e4nzt werden diese Elemente durch Panzerplatten, zus\u00e4tzliche Kraftstofftanks und speziell integrierte Waffenf\u00e4cher, die ausschlie\u00dflich auf die Anforderungen der Spielwelt ausgelegt sind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Der Name Dreadnought besitzt dabei eine doppelte Bedeutung. Einerseits steht er sinngem\u00e4\u00df f\u00fcr Furchtlosigkeit, andererseits erinnert er an das britische Schlachtschiff HMS Dreadnought<\/em>. Dieses revolutionierte Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts mit seiner Bewaffnung und seinem Antrieb den Kriegsschiffbau und wurde Namensgeber einer gesamten Schiffsklasse. Chefdesigner Marek Reichman beschreibt den Dreadnought als eine konsequente Weiterentwicklung der Aston-Martin-Designphilosophie ohne die \u00fcblichen technischen Grenzen eines Serienfahrzeugs. Sein Anspruch sei gewesen, das Fahrzeug so zu gestalten, als w\u00fcrde es sowohl durch die Stra\u00dfen von New York als auch durch die vom Monsun gepr\u00e4gten Stra\u00dfen Mumbais fahren und in jeder Umgebung glaubw\u00fcrdig funktionieren. Lackierung in Chiltern Green, ein Carbon-Monocoque sowie T\u00fcrscharniere in eloxiertem Satin Gold unterstreichen den Anspruch, selbst im digitalen Raum den Qualit\u00e4tsma\u00dfstab der Marke beizubehalten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Infinity Ward entwickelte das Fahrzeug vollst\u00e4ndig f\u00fcr die Spielengine. Konstruktion, Animation, Geometrie, Fahrphysik und Antrieb wurden eigens aufeinander abgestimmt. Das Ergebnis ist ein schwer gepanzertes Hochleistungsfahrzeug mit gro\u00dfem Kraftstoffvorrat und besonders leistungsf\u00e4higem Allradantrieb, das gleichzeitig die charakteristischen Designmerkmale von Aston Martin bewahren soll.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spieler finden den Dreadnought zum Marktstart an ausgew\u00e4hlten Orten in den Spielmodi DMZ und Call of Duty: Warzone<\/em>. Seine Weltpremiere feiert das virtuelle SUV im Rahmen des Fanatics Fest in New York, wo erstmals ein Modell in Originalgr\u00f6\u00dfe am Stand von Call of Duty<\/em> pr\u00e4sentiert wird.
