Damals l\u00f6ste der futuristische Mittelmotor-Sportwagen mit Dreischeiben-Rotationskolbenmotor Euphorie aus und die Legende besagt, dass viele unterschriebene Blankoschecks den Weg nach Stuttgart fanden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dabei war der erste ein reiner Versuchstr\u00e4ger. Wirklich spektakul\u00e4r war, was 1970 folgte: ein elegant geformter, 350 PS starker und 290 Stundenkilometer schneller Supersportwagen mit Vierscheibenwankelmotor stellte vieles, was zu der Zeit an Supersportwagen auf dem Markt war, in den Schatten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jedoch nahm die Geschichte einen anderen verlauf als von vielen potentiellen K\u00e4ufern erhofft. Da der Wankelmotor nicht die Erwartungen erf\u00fcllte, diente der spektakul\u00e4re Fl\u00fcgelt\u00fcren k\u00fcnftig die Rolle des Versuchstr\u00e4gers und diente auch als Basis f\u00fcr Rekordversuche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So wurde der C 111-II schon 1976 mit einem F\u00fcnfzylinder-Turbodieselmotor mit einer Leistung von 190 PS und einem Hubraum von 3 Litern versehen. Der so umger\u00fcstete Wagen brach am 12. Juni 1976 alle Geschwindigkeits- und Beschleunigungsrekorde f\u00fcr Dieselmotoren. Danach folgten die aerodynamisch optimierten Versionen C 111-III  mit einem st\u00e4rkerenTurbodiesel,  und dem sagenhaften Cw-Wert von 0,183 aus dem Jahr 1978 sowie 1979 der brachiale C 111-IV  mit einem 4,8-Liter-Doppelturbo-V8-Ottomotor, 500 PS stark und \u00fcber 400 Stundenkilometer schnell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die wirkliche \u00dcberraschung auf dem Daimler-Stand war jedoch die Designstudie SLX aus dem j\u00e4hr 1966, die schon da andeutete, wo die formale Reise hinging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"810\" height=\"540\" src=\"https:\/\/www.enzo-und-ferdinand.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/DSC_0255.jpg\" alt=\"Mercedes-Benz C111-IV 1978\" class=\"wp-image-3501\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.enzo-und-ferdinand.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/DSC_0255.jpg 810w, https:\/\/www.enzo-und-ferdinand.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/DSC_0255-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.enzo-und-ferdinand.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/DSC_0255-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.enzo-und-ferdinand.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/DSC_0255-120x80.jpg 120w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 810px) 100vw, 810px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:15px\"><strong><em>Der Mercedes-Benz C111-IV, von einem F\u00fcnfliter-V8 Biturbo mit 500 PS befeuert, stellt 1979 auf dem Oval im italienischen Nardo mit 403,978\u00a0km\/h einen neuen Rundstreckenrekord auf.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Auch abseits dieses Spektakels gab es in Essen anderes, wenig gesehenes. So stand auf dem Freigel\u00e4nde ein luxuri\u00f6s ausgestatteter Kleinbus auf Fiat-900-Basis, 95.000 Euro teuer, der Bertone dazu diente, Besucher \u00fcber das Werksgel\u00e4nde zu kutschieren oder aber Piero Taruffis Doppelrumpfwagen &#8222;Bisiluro&#8220; aus dem Jahr 1951, urspr\u00fcnglich mit einem Zweiliter-Maserati-Motor ausger\u00fcstet, der ein Jahr sp\u00e4ter auf der historischen Via Appia bei Rom 217,414 Stundenkilometer erreichte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zudem feierte Porsche den 50sten Geburtstag des 914, unter anderem mit einer Replika des 914\/6 R\/GT von 1970 sowie dem 914\/8, einem Geburtstagsgeschenk f\u00fcr Ferri Porsche. Seat zeigte mit dem 1430 Especial 1600 aus dem Jahr 1974 einen schicken und schnellen Sportkombi und VW den ultrastarken W-Zw\u00f6lfzylinder-Nardo-Rekordwagen des Jahres 2001.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Besondere Erw\u00e4hnung verdiente ein Voisin-C12-Chassis aus dem Jahr 1930 in originalem Auslieferungzustand, nie restauriert und auch nie mit einer Karosserie komplettiert. Etwas unauff\u00e4llig platziert war der letze \u00fcberlebende Porsche 907 Langheck aus dem Jahr 1967, der unter Jochen Rindt und Gerhard Mitter in Le-Mans startete und der erste Porsche war, der die magische 300 Stundenkilometer-Marke hinter sich lie\u00df.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bei 21 Hallen und vier Au\u00dfenbereichen mit zusammen mehr als 120.000 Quadratmetern Fl\u00e4che lassen sich viele Exoten und einzigartige Wagen entdecken.
