Seine Rolle sollte die eines agileren und leichteren Urraco sein. Dieser, 1974 vorgestellt und in Serie gegangen, war mit wenig Fort\u00fcne gestartet, weil das 2+2-Konzept des Mittelmotorsportwagens bei der Kundschaft wenig Anklang fand. Lamborghini \u00fcberliess Bertone einen Drei-Liter-V8 mit 300 PS sowie ein Urraco-Fahrgestell, das die Basis f\u00fcr das neue Design bilden sollte. Chefdesigner Marcello Gandini machte sich daran, einen neuen Sportwagen zu zeichnen. Er entfernet die R\u00fccksitze und verk\u00fcrzte das Fahrgestell um 200 Millimeter. Auch war vorgesehen, die neuen Pirelli-P7-Reifen zu verwenden, die aufgrund ihrer Breite&nbsp; eine Verbreiterung der Spur um 100 Millimeter notwendig machten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Schon 1971 war der Miura-Nachfolger Countach in Produktion gegangen und der Dreiliter-V8 sollte die Modellpalette nach unten abrunden. Also ist der Bravo eine Weiterentwicklung der Linie des des Countach. Die gro\u00dfe Windschutzscheibe neigt sich im gleichen Winkel wie die Motorhaube, die A-S\u00e4ule ist extrem d\u00fcnn und die Scheibe verklebt. Lamellenverkleidungen bedecken sowohl die Vorder- wie auch die R\u00fcckseite und dienen der Bel\u00fcftung von Motor und K\u00fchler. Ein kleiner Kofferraum befindet hinter dem Motor platziert. Gandini Geschick vereint klare und wohl proportionierten Formen in einer perfektem Beziehung von Gesamtvolumen, Radstand und \u00dcberh\u00e4ngen.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Auch das Interieur ist reduziert auf einfache Formen. Die Instrumente sind auf einer Blende aus geb\u00fcrstetem Aluminium platziert, die Sitze mit Alcantara bezogen \u2013 einem damals neuen Gewebe, das bis dahin nur im Lancia Stratos HF verwendet wurde. Der Schwerpunkt des Gest\u00fchls liegt so niedrig, dass Fahrer und Beifahrer nahezu liegend untergebracht sind. Das wird aber nicht mit schlechter Sicht erkauft, eben weil die Fensterfl\u00e4chen besonders gro\u00df und die A-S\u00e4ule besonders d\u00fcnn ausgef\u00fchrt sind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Im Oktober 1974 wird das Bravo-Konzept auf dem Turiner Salon vorgestellt. Der funktionst\u00fcchtige Prototyp kann von der Presse ausgiebig getestet werden und l\u00f6st aufgrund seiner kompakten Abmessungen und seiner Agilit\u00e4t Begeisterung aus. Am Ende aber ist kein Geld da f\u00fcr die Entwicklung und Herstellung des Bravo.
