Das Design des Neuentwurfs war raffiniert und schn\u00f6rkellos: Unverwechselbares Merkmal war die spitz zulaufende Front mit den Scheinwerfern hinter einer Plexiglasabdeckung. Das hei\u00dft: Heckmotor, Zentralrohrrahmen und dar\u00fcber eine Kunststoffkarosserie. Das Fahrwerk war mit Einzelradaufh\u00e4ngung und Stabilisatoren vorn und hinten sowie Dreiecksquerlenkern voll auf der H\u00f6he der Zeit. F\u00fcr den Einsatz in dem gerade einmal 1,15 Meter hohen Sportwagen auf 1150 PS leistungsgesteigert, sorgte das 2,7-Liter-Triebwerk f\u00fcr Fahrleistungen, die der spektakul\u00e4ren Optik gerecht wurden. Mit 220 km\/h H\u00f6chstgeschwindigkeit und 7,8 Sekunden f\u00fcr den Spurt von 0 auf 100 km\/h bot die A310 V6 echte Sportwagen-Performance, vom Prestigegewinn durch die zus\u00e4tzlichen Zylinder ganz abgesehen. Sp\u00e4tere Versionen schafften sogar 225 km\/h. Kennzeichen der V6-Modelle waren die neuen Scheinwerfer. Statt der durchgehenden Lichtbatterie gab es jetzt zwei abgegrenzte Leuchtfelder rechts und links. Die markanten Plexiglasabdeckungen blieben zur Freude der Fans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Als optisch sch\u00e4rfste Version erschien 1982 die A310 GT mit extrem verbreiterten Kotfl\u00fcgeln sowie extra gro\u00dfem Front- und Heckspoiler.
