Nach einem Entwurf von Pininfarina entsteht der Mittelmotorzweisitzer 250 LM und der soll, wenn m\u00f6glich, f\u00fcr die immer weiter wachsende Gran-Turismo-Klasse homologiert werden. Die Sache hat aber einen Haken, denn es m\u00fcssen mindestens 100 Exemplare gebaut werden. Bei Aston Martin etwa hat sich die FIA mit Pl\u00e4nen zur geplanten Produktion begn\u00fcgt, um die Autos durchzuwinken. Da reichen auch mal vier gebaute Autos. Ferrari hat dieses Gl\u00fcck nicht, da die Sportbeh\u00f6rde der Firma aus Maranello nicht die notwendige St\u00fcckzahl zutraut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Der Mittelmotorsportwagen mit der markanten Scheibe hinter den R\u00fccksitzen kommt nur auf eine Produktion von 32 Exemplaren und muss seine Rennen als Prototyp bestreiten. Aber das durchaus erfolgreich: 1965 gewinnen der \u00d6sterreicher Jochen Rindt und der US-Amerikaner Masten Gregory die 24 Stunden von Le Mans. Einen Versuch zwecks Sportwagen-Homologation will Enzo Ferrari aber noch starten. Pininfarina wird gebeten, eine zivile Variante des Le-Mans-Gewinners zu entwickeln. Die Auto-K\u00fcnstler gehen den Job ernsthaft an und machen aus dem spartanischen Rennwagen eine durchaus komfortable Stra\u00dfenversion. Sie strecken den Radstand, vergr\u00f6\u00dfern die T\u00fcren, montieren ein schickes Interieur und verkleiden den Motor mit einer gro\u00dfen Plexiglaskuppel. Die blau-wei\u00dfe US-Rennlackierung spekuliert auf die Ferrari-Begeisterung der Amerikaner, und am Ende des Genfer Salons des Jahres 1965 vermeldet Pininfarina sechzehn Bestellungen. Die Autos aber werden nie gebaut.
