So erfinden sich auch die Beatles, als erfolgreichste Pop-Band der Zeit, neu. 1966 verabschieden sich die Liverpooler vom \u201ePilzkopf\u201c-Image sowie vom Tourneebetrieb und probieren Neues. 1967 erscheint mit \u201eSgt. Pepper\u2019s Lonely Hearts Club Band\u201c das erste Konzeptalbum der Popgeschichte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mit bunten Fantasieuniformen und psychedelische St\u00fccken trifft das Album den Zeitgeist, der sich l\u00e4ngst auf dem Weg zur Hippie-Kultur befindet. Marihuana und LSD tun das ihre, um den Musikern Eintritt in ihre surrealen Innenwelten zu verschaffen. Und die exaltierten Innenwelten finden nach aussen: John Lennon besitzt seit 1965 einen Valentine-Black-lackierten Rolls-Royce Phantom V, der jetzt zum Vehikel des entgrenzten Zeitgeists wird.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gelb dominiert die neue Lackierung, die blumig-romantisch und verschn\u00f6rkelt die \u00c4sthetik von Landfahrerwohnwagen zitiert und auf dem Dach prangt ein gro\u00dfes Tierkreiszeichen.
