Designer Ghia zeigte den Wagen zusammen mit dem ganz \u00e4hnlich gestalteten Dodge Firearrow, den die Italiener zuvor f\u00fcr Chrysler gestaltet hatten. Das italienische Coup\u00e9 mit der pr\u00e4gnanten \u201eBulletnose\u201c war so teuer, dass er den Ferrari 166 mit V-12-Motor im Preis weit \u00fcbertraf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Der Wagen entstand auf einem von den vier Abarth-205-Chassis, die Carlo Abarth, ehemals technischer Direktor von Cisitalia, als Abfindung nach der Pleite 1950 erhalten hatte. Als Abarth 205A waren sie die ersten Wagen unter dem Namen des Austro-Italieners. Dessen Vierzylinder-Reihenmotor hatte 1089&nbsp;ccm Hubraum und leistete im Abarth 75&nbsp;PS. Der Motorblock war aus Grauguss, der Zylinderkopf aus Aluminium.
