Die Optik gibt sich martialisch und lehnt sich an die Formen eines Kampfjets an. E-R steht f\u00fcr Endurance Racer und die \u201e9\u201c f\u00fcr den Lotus Mark IX, mit dem Firmengr\u00fcnder Colin Chapman 1955 bei den 24 Stunden von Le Mans startete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Der Wagen verwendet eine aktive Aerodynamik mit morphologischen, das hei\u00dft vom organischen inspirierten Karosserieteilen und vertikal angebrachten Steuerfl\u00e4chen, die bei hohen Kurvengeschwindigkeiten zus\u00e4tzlichen Druck aufbauen. Diese Anpassungsf\u00e4higkeit, bei der aktive Oberfl\u00e4chen ihre Form und Einstellung zur Luftstr\u00f6mung entweder auf Knopfdruck des Fahrers oder automatisch entsprechend den Eingaben der Leistungssensoren \u00e4ndern k\u00f6nnen, sorgt f\u00fcr minimalen Luftwiderstand auf den Geraden und maximalen Abtrieb in den Kurven. Mit einem Lotus Mark IX trat das Rennteam erstmals bei den 24 Stunden von Le Mans an, unter anderem mit Firmengr\u00fcnder Colin Chapman als Fahrer. Man schrieb das Jahr 1955, was bedeutet, dass das Konzept des E-R9-Rennwagens &#8211; sollte er 2030 an den Start gehen &#8211; das 75-j\u00e4hrige Jubil\u00e4um des Mark IX feiern w\u00fcrde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Der E-R9 wurde vom Ingenieurteam um Richard Hill, Chef-Aerodynamiker bei Lotus, und Louis Kerr, leitender Plattform-Ingenieur des rein elektrischen Hypercars Lotus Evija sowie technischer Direktor, GT, Geely Group Motorsports International, entwickelt.
