Es handelt sich um einen radikal offenen offenen Einsitzer mit ausladenden Kotfl\u00fcgeln und einem 1,0-Liter-Motor mit Kompressor- und Turbolader. Der Ansatz ist so radikal, dass an eine Serienfertigung nicht zu denken ist. Die Motorsportabteilung Nismo ruft 1989 die Saurus-Cup-Rennserie ins Leben. Die Serie wird mit einsitzigen Prototypen mit Fiberglas-Karosserien ausgetragen, die dem Design-Konzept nachempfunden sind.
