Ab 1950 bauen sie f\u00fcr Talbot und Delahaye Karosserien aus Aluminium und steigen sp\u00e4ter um auf die Herstellung von Polyesterkarosserien f\u00fcr CD (Charles Deutsch), DB (Deutsch-Bonnet) und Alpine. 1966, beim Pariser Automobilsalon, treten sie erstmals unter dem Markennahmen C.G. mit dem Spider 1000 als Hersteller auf. Ihr Zweisitzer mit Zentralrohrrahmen und Kunststoffkarosserie nutzt Simca-Mechanik und begr\u00fcndet die enge Beziehnung zum Simca-Konzern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ende der 1960er ist die franz\u00f6sische Chrysler-Tochter Simca mit Matra unter anderem in der Formel 1 und der Sportwagenweltmeisterschaft erfolgreich. Nur gegen die in Rallies erfolgreichen Renault Alpine hat die &#8222;Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Industrielle de M\u00e9canique Carosserie&#8220; keinen Pfeil im K\u00f6cher. Am 9. Februar 1970 bringt das Management von Chrysler France deshalb zusammen mit Chappe &amp; Gessalin das Projekt &#8222;Simca CG Proto MC&#8220; (MC heisst Moteur Centrale) auf den Weg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Der Motor des Alpine-J\u00e4gers stammt vom Chrysler 180. Jedoch wird der Hubraum auf 2160 Kubikzentimeter erh\u00f6ht und von zwei Weber-Doppelvergasern bef\u00fcllt. Zun\u00e4chst leistet die Maschine 175 PS, sp\u00e4ter bis zu 225 PS. Dies erreicht man durch die Installation eines neuen Zylinderkopfs, einer Doppelz\u00fcndung sowie einer Trockensumpfschmierung. Das F\u00fcnfgang-Getriebe dagegen ist keine Eigenentwicklung, sondern kommt von Porsches 911er.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"810\" height=\"539\" src=\"https:\/\/www.enzo-und-ferdinand.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/DSC_4439-810x539.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7729\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.enzo-und-ferdinand.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/DSC_4439-810x539.jpg 810w, https:\/\/www.enzo-und-ferdinand.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/DSC_4439-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.enzo-und-ferdinand.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/DSC_4439-768x511.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.enzo-und-ferdinand.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/DSC_4439-120x80.jpg 120w, https:\/\/www.enzo-und-ferdinand.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/DSC_4439.jpg 875w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 810px) 100vw, 810px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Als Chassis dient ein Kastenrahmen, der hinten mit einen Hilfsrahmen erg\u00e4nzt ist. Zwei 48 Liter-Tanks flankieren den in der zentralen Mitte montierten Motor. Die Radaufh\u00e4ngung vorne besteht aus Doppelquerlenkern mit Stabilisator, die Hinterachse kommt vom Sportprototypen Matra 630. Verz\u00f6gert wird mit vier innenbel\u00fcfteten Scheibenbremsen, die Richtungswechsel erfolgen \u00fcber eine Zahnstangenlenkung.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">W\u00e4hrend zun\u00e4chst ein Coup\u00e9 zum Einsatz kommt, mutiert der Simca CG Proto MC Ende 1971 bei der &#8222;Round C\u00e9vennes&#8220; zum Spider. Das bringt Vorteile beim Gewicht (statt 750 Kilogramm sind es nun 613, sp\u00e4ter sogar nur noch 600 Kilogramm) und bei der Steifigkeit. Das bringt den erw\u00fcnschten Erfolg: Werksfahrer Bernard Fiorentino und Gastfahrer Gerard Larousse k\u00f6nnen die Alpine viele Male besiegen. Am Ende stehen sieben Siege f\u00fcr Fiorentino zu Buche.
