Der legend\u00e4re Konstrukteur stellte seinen zweisitzigen Vierzylinder-Roadster auf der Earls Court Motor Show in London vor, wo er mit Austin-Chef Leonard Lord verabredete, den Wagen als Austin-Healey 100 auf den Markt zu bringen. Zwischen 1953 und 1958 wurden sechs Versionen des Wagens produziert, wobei der Vierzylindermotor letztlich durch einen Sechszylinder ersetzt wurde.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Der britische Hersteller Caton reproduziert jetzt den Klassiker unter dem eigenen Label, wobei Anpassungen an den Zeitgeist der 2020er-Jahre behutsam vorgenommen wurden. Aufmerksamkeit erhielten der K\u00fchlergrill sowie die Karosserie-Proportionen. Beim der Frontmaske etwa wurde jede Lamelle einzeln angefertigt und so zusammengef\u00fcgt, dass er einen schwebenden Eindruck vermittelt. Auch die Sto\u00dfstangen wurden entfernt, um der Front ein glatteres, saubereres Aussehen zu geben. Ein neuer Luftauslass wurde in die Flanken integriert, um die Seitenlinie optisch zu betonen. Caton hat die Form des 100\/4 im wesentlichen respektiert. Die hinteren Sto\u00dfstangen sind verschwunden, ebenso die \u00e4u\u00dferen Kofferraumscharniere, die durch innere ersetzt wurden und durch Gasdruckfedern erg\u00e4nzt wurden. Der Kofferraumgriff wurde ebenfalls entfernt und wird nun durch einen Entriegelungsmechanismus im Innenraum ge\u00f6ffnet.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die Produktion basiert auf einem vollst\u00e4ndigen 3D-Scan, der hilft, die Toleranzen der Spaltma\u00dfe auf 0,2 mm zu begrenzen. Als R\u00e4der werden schwarze Borrani-Felgen mit 72 Speichen im Stil der Zeit montiert.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Innen wurde der Getriebetunnel neu gestaltet, um ein F\u00fcnfgang-Schaltgetriebes unterbringen zu k\u00f6nnen. Jetzt sitzt der Schalthebel zentral oben auf dem Getriebetunnel, was sowohl die \u00c4sthetik als auch die Funktionalit\u00e4t des Innenraums an heutige W\u00fcnsche anpasst. Somit kann, im Gegensatz zum originalen Healey 100\/4, heute auch ein 1,80 m gro\u00dfer Fahrer bequem Platz nehmen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default
