Seine Idee ist, im Zentrum der franz\u00f6sischen Automobilindustrie eine Rennstrecke vor allem zu Testzwecken zu bauen. Er kauft 1923 ein Grundst\u00fcck auf dem Plateau von Hurepoix und beauftragte den Ingenieur Raymond Jamin mit dem Bau der Strecke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dieser konstruiert einen Kurs, der aus zwei 180 Meter kurzen Geraden, verbunden durch zwei Steilkurven mit einem Radius von rund 250 Metern, besteht. Bei einer Gesamtl\u00e4nge von 2548,24 Meter und Fahrbahnbreiten zwischen 18 und 21,5 Metern l\u00e4\u00dft die Strecke enorme Durchschnittsgeschwindigkeiten von bis zu 220 km\/h zu.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nachdem die Ovalbahn durch einen zehn Kilometer lagen Stra\u00dfenkurs erweitert ist, veranstaltet 1925 der Automobile Club de France den ersten Grand Prix auf der Strecke von Linas-Montlh\u00e9ry. Zwischen 1931 und 1937 findet der Grand Prix des Automobile Club de France (ACF) regelm\u00e4\u00dfig in Linas-Montlh\u00e9ry statt und schon Mitte der 1930er Jahre ist klar, dass die Geschwindigkeiten im Oval zu hoch werden. <br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1935 baut man drei Schikanen ein, um einerseits die H\u00f6chstgeschwindigkeit zu senken und anderseits die \u00fcberlegenen Fahrzeuge von Mercedes-Benz und Auto Union einzubremsen.
