H\u00fcpfend geht es die Berge hoch, denn das Fahrverhalten ist fragw\u00fcrdig<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8222;Flat out and Fearless&#8220; \u2013 also &#8222;Furchtlos Vollgas geben&#8220; war die \u00dcberschrift zum diesj\u00e4hrigen Festival of Speed im s\u00fcdenglischen Goodwood. Gemeint waren damit vor allem die vielen kleinen tapferen Teams, die in der Formel 1 oder anderswo mit begrenzten Mitteln gegen die Platzhirsche antraten und manchmal auch bestehen konnten. Wahre Helden eben.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8222;Furchtlos Vollgas geben&#8220; ist aber auch am Berg vonn\u00f6ten, wo auf kurzen und weitgehend ungesicherten Pisten die Piloten von der ersten Sekunde an volle Leistung bringen m\u00fcssen. Ansonsten ist das Rennen schon verloren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bergk\u00f6nig Gerhard Mitter etwa hat das Talent, sofort am Start zu explodieren, was er auch mit dem Porsche Bergspyder 904\/6 1965 am Rossfeld tut. Ohne jede Erfahrung in der K\u00f6nigsklasse ist der Monoposto auf Anhieb konkurrenzf\u00e4hig. Platz 10 im Training wird mit dem elften Rang im Rennen und der schnellsten Runde belohnt.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zudem muss man konstatieren, dass der japanische Formel 1 nicht nur schnell, sondern auch \u00fcberaus elegant ist. Ende der 1960er Jahre versucht Chrysler mit dem Charger die Nascar-Meisterschaft zu gewinnen. Das gelingt nicht. Deshalb legt die Chrysler-Division Plymouth 1970 f\u00fcr den Nascar-Superstar &#8222;King&#8220; Richard Petty den Superbird auf Kiel. Die Sportwagenweltmeisterschaft soll gewonnen werden und daf\u00fcr entwickelt Chefingenieur Rudolf Uhlenhaut den absoluten Supersportwagen der Epoche.
